  • This is how I'd set up my newsletter campaign. The first couple of triggers just send a confirmation email to new contacts. The rest represent each individual newsletter send. Note that I've added a click-tracking goal to the bottom of each send for reporting purposes, which is optional. I'd keep adding new triggers for each newsletter I sent, by copying over everything and then just changing out the email and the click tracking goal.

Conditions
Think of conditions as a all purpose filter. Conditions are part of other elements such as a trigger but also has its own element object.
What conditions can be selected?
There are a set of variables that can be selected through the drop down of a condition element. Often user's will use a combination of conditions in order to drill down further to filter groups of contacts.
Was Subscribed to a campaign before or after a certain date.

In this condition, a user is able to select a campaign, a date, and have the choice of the stetting before/after.


Ex. Was subscribed to (campaign selected by user) - (BEFORE/AFTER)-(set to a date selected by user)

When condition is used this filter would find contacts who are on a campaign selected by user and will filter them by that campaign and when (before or after) the date set by the user.

NOTE: This condition only works if contact is still on campaign that user selects in this field/ hits this condition before being removed off campaign. Even If contact was on campaign before or after date but is not on that campaign, this filter will not work correctly. An easy way to check is to go to a contacts record and check if campaign is listed under campaign section.
